Mess hisab: bazar, meals and meal rate in one app

A paper khata for the mess ends in mistakes and month-end arguments. In Mitmat, just tick who ate how many meals and who did the bazar: the app calculates the meal rate and everyone’s share.

How to run a mess in Mitmat

  1. Create a "Bachelor mess" group and invite members with its link.
  2. Tick each member’s meals every day (works offline too).
  3. Whoever did the bazar adds the cost, with a receipt photo if you like.
  4. Add fixed monthly costs such as the maid, wifi and gas.
  5. At month end Mitmat shows the meal rate and who owes whom.

How the meal rate is calculated

Meal rate = total bazar cost ÷ total meals. With ৳18,000 of bazar and 600 meals in a month, the meal rate is ৳30. A member who ate 90 meals pays ৳2,700 for food, plus their share of fixed costs. Try it yourself with our free meal rate calculator.

Deposits and dues at a glance

Mitmat combines what each member deposited and spent on bazar and shows who is owed and who owes. Then settle up in bKash or Nagad.

Less work for the mess manager

Everyone sees the same records on their phone, so there are no more "how many meals did I eat" arguments, and nothing is lost when the manager changes.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate the meal rate?

Divide the total bazar cost by the total number of meals. Mitmat does this automatically with every new bazar entry or meal.

How are maid, wifi or gas bills shared?

Add them as fixed monthly costs; they are shared among members separately from the meal rate.

Does everyone need the app?

Ticking meals and adding bazar need the app. To just see the balances, opening the group link in a browser is enough.

Can I tick meals without internet?

Yes. Offline ticks are saved on the phone and sync when you are back online.
